In order to receive a rebate earned on SellPro, you will need to provide the Transit, Institution, and Account numbers for your bank account. Follow the instructions in this article to locate these numbers.
These instructions apply to SellPro users in CANADA only. For US users, please see this article.
You can easily locate the Transit, Institution and Account numbers for your bank account by looking at a check issued from your banking institution.
If you don't have any physical checks to reference, visit the FAQ or HELP section of your banking institution's website, where they will provide the routing number and instructions on how to obtain your bank account number.
At the bottom of a check, you will see four groups of numbers.
Transit number
This 5-digit number identifies which bank branch at which the account was initially opened. This is commonly referred to as the home branch.
Institution number
This is a 3-digit number that identifies which bank you use (TD, RBC, Scotiabank, etc.). Each banking institution has a unique number.
Account number
This number varies between 7-12 digits, and identifies your individual bank account.
If your account number only has 6 digits but a form requires 7, simply add a 0 to the start. For example, 123456 is 0123456.
Check number
The check number is not necessary to complete your rebate submission. This number is there primarily to help you keep track of the checks you write.
